In one of the largest spreads of Week 1 of the college football season, Arizona has opened as a 33.5-point favorite vs. the Lumberjacks, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. The over/under is 57.5. Arizona is 17-2 all-time against NAU, with the most recent loss coming in 2022. Arizona has won the last two matchups by scores of 33-3 (2023) and 22-10 (2024). NAU is coming off a dramatic 34-27 victory over Eastern Washington in a game where the Lumberjacks trailed by 21 points in the first half. NAU quarterback Ty Pennington threw for two touchdowns and 164 yards while giving up one interception. Arizona hasn’t usually made life easy on bettors during Brent Brennan’s first two seasons as head coach. In 2o24 the Wildcats were 2-10 against the spread (ATS), tied for the worst mark in FBS.
