All eyes were on the Minnesota Vikings and their quarterback battle, but the situation brewing in Cleveland has taken over the talk of the town. The ongoing battle between Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders has been going on since OTAs, with the dial being turned up to 11 during training camp. With the regular season just a few short weeks away, who does Bleacher Report have winning the job? Alex Kay of Bleacher Report gave the nod to Watson, citing his play in camp and in their first preseason game as giving him the leg up on the competition:Assuming there aren’t any major injuries or unforeseen events that influence the competition, Watson still looks to be in the driver’s seat. He played relatively well given he hasn’t appeared in an NFL game in nearly two years. More reps should only get him closer to the level of talent he displayed as a three-time Pro Bowler for the Houston Texans.Sanders may have helped Cleveland finish last season strongly and earned a Pro Bowl nod for his efforts, but the sophomore lacks the stability and upside Watson offers at his best.Sanders earning that Pro Bowl nod appears to mean next to nothing, as Cleveland seems to be leaning toward the veteran Watson. Given the fact that he has not played a meaningful game in almost two years, it will be worth watching how he plays the rest of the preseason. This article originally appeared on Browns Wire: Bleacher Report makes a prediction of who will be the Browns QB
