Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh did not hold back on punter JK Scott after allowing a touchdown return. After the Bolts’ blowout loss to the 49ers, Harbaugh said the team needs to do a better job coaching up Scott.“The punt was short and in the middle, and then we got out-flanked,” Harbaugh said.“No, he’s got to have a plan when he’s in that position to make the tackle. Something we need to work on, coach up,” Harbaugh said.Scott’s 52-yard punt was returned for a massive 84-yard touchdown by 49ers punt returner Jacob Cowing. It was poor execution by the Chargers punting unit, and overall, there was a lack of effort by Scott. Here’s how it went down. Clearly, that wasn’t the case, but the lack of effort was enough to warrant the question.Scott is considered an above-average punter and is set to enter his fifth season in Los Angeles. Prior to joining the Chargers organization, Scott played for the Packers and Jaguars.Despite Scott’s lack of effort, plus there being no other punter on the roster, it doesn’t appear that his job is in jeopardy. However, that could all change if that continues to be the case. This article originally appeared on Chargers Wire: Chargers’ Jim Harbaugh gets honest about JK Scott after TD return
