This is absolutely heartbreaking. Exactly one year after rupturing his Achilles during a joint practice with the San Francisco 49ers on Aug. 7, 2025, Denver Broncos defensive lineman Matt Henningsen ruptured his Achilles again — this time on his other foot — during Friday’s training camp practice, according to a report from KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis. Henningsen (6-3, 291 pounds) was carted off the field on Friday, and Klis has now confirmed the brutal news. Originally picked by Denver in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL draft out of Wisconsin, the 27-year-old Henningsen had been competing with the likes of Eyioma Uwazurike, Sai’vion Jones, Tyler Onyedim, Jordan Jackson, Jordan Miller and Kristian Williams for a rotational role behind Zach Allen, D.J. Jones and Malcolm Roach. This story will be updated. Social: Follow Broncos Wire on Facebook and Twitter/X!
