According to a report from Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have officially opened talks to sign Maxence Lacroix (26) from Crystal Palace. The French international centre back has been earmarked by the Blues as their primary target at centre back this summer.The Premier League club have started negotiations with the former Wolfsburg defender’s camp to hopefully reach an agreement on personal terms. After talks with the 26-year-old, direct negotiations with Palace are set to follow, Romano understands.The West London outfit have been linked with several centre-backs during the summer transfer window. These include Jacobo Ramón (21) from Como. However, the Frenchman currently sits at the top of the list of the defenders they would like to bring to Stamford Bridge.
