Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones has been one of the top pass-rushers in the NFL for the last decade, but according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the All-Pro lineman is just the fourth-best player at his position heading into the 2026 regular season.”Jones is heralded as an all-time Chief, and for good reason,” Fowler said of Jones in his analysis of ESPN’s rankings, which are compiled using votes cast by league executives, coaches and scouts. “He has made seven consecutive Pro Bowls and has had back-to-back-to-back All-Pro nods (2022 to 2024). But 2024’s top defensive tackle has slipped in the voting for the second consecutive year, which can be expected after 10 years in the league at a demanding position.”AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementJones was the No. 2 defensive tackle in last year’s rankings after earning the top spot in 2024. He recorded 7 sacks and 12 tackles for loss last season for Kansas City in 2025 and figures to be a game-changer for the Chiefs next season. This article originally appeared on Chiefs Wire: Chiefs star Chris Jones No. 4 in ESPN’s DT rankings for 2026
