DAZN adds Premier Boxing Champions to growing boxing portfolio

Premier Boxing Champions has become the latest boxing promoter to partner with DAZN, as the streaming service announces a global agreement with PBC. The first event under this new deal is slated for Saturday, July 25, featuring a high-profile showdown between former three-belt welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. and former super welterweight champion Tim Tszyu. The event lineup will be split between pay-per-view and non-pay-per-view formats, with PPV bouts streaming exclusively on DAZN via Prime Video. The initial non-PPV event under the agreement is scheduled for September 19.
Previously, PBC events aired on Amazon Prime Video since 2024, and this latest arrangement marks a change that moves the promotion onto DAZN for its broader distribution. Tom Brown, head of TGB Promotions, remarked at the Thursday press conference announcing the deal that DAZN is elevating its boxing presence: “This relationship with PBC is going to be something special.” Brown’s comments underscore DAZN’s ambition to expand its boxing footprint and create mega-fights that attract a global audience.
DAZN has been aggressively growing its boxing portfolio in recent years. Earlier this year, the platform announced an agreement with Top Rank, followed by an extension with Golden Boy Promotions shortly afterward. In addition to these partnerships, DAZN maintains deals with Matchroom Boxing and Queensbury Boxing, among others. The press release accompanying the DAZN-PBC deal emphasizes the platform’s goal of staging more monumental, marquee fights that captivate fight fans around the world.
Notably, DAZN’s boxing coverage isn’t exclusively limited to the DAZN platform. The service recently collaborated with TNT Sports to launch a monthly boxing series called “The Fight,” which presents promotions for which DAZN holds rights but which also air on linear television. The inaugural edition of this collaboration occurred on July 4 and featured Abdullah Mason against Albert Bell. The event drew an average of 661,000 viewers, peaking at 820,000 viewers from 11:45 p.m. to midnight during the main card, according to TNT Sports, which notes the average viewership was up 31% compared to similar cable boxing telecasts in 2025.
This partnership with TNT Sports could offer PBC fighters additional avenues to reach U.S. audiences in distinctive ways, broadening exposure even as DAZN continues to expand its own user base in the United States. While DAZN has faced some challenges in breaking through with a broad U.S. audience, there remains a segment of casual boxing fans who still tune into cable television, and the new collaboration strategy could help bridge that gap.
Overall, the DAZN-PBC alliance signals a continued expansion of DAZN’s boxing portfolio as it seeks to secure more mega fights and diversify its distribution. As the July 25 clash between Spence and Tszyu approaches, fans will be watching how the new arrangement impacts both the promotion landscape and the broader U.S. boxing media ecosystem. This development adds to DAZN’s growing roster of partnerships and its ongoing effort to position itself as a premier platform for major boxing events on a global scale. The announcement comes amid DAZN’s broader push to consolidate top-tier promotions and deliver marquee showdowns to a diverse, international audience.
