SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — U.S. District Judge Charlotte Sweeney ruled that all NCAA athletes who graduated high school in 2022 and also exhausted their fourth season of college eligibility this spring will now be eligible for a fifth season in 2026-27. The decision came in a federal court in Denver on Friday. It also opens the door for said athletes who went undrafted professionally to return to their college team for that fifth year.Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
