Former Auburn star Johni Broome continues stellar Summer League play

   ​The NBA Summer League is an opportunity for players to show teams what they can bring to a franchise. Most people tend to pay more attention to incoming rookies like AJ Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson, and Cameron Boozer.However, former Auburn star Johni Broome has been putting on a show through two games for the 76ers.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementBroome is entering his second season with the 76ers and is looking to crack the lineup as a full-time player. In his rookie season, he played 11 games, where he averaged 0.9 points per game. It was in the G-League where Broome had the most success. With the Delaware Blue Coats, Broome averaged 22.9 points per game and eight rebounds. He has also shown his playmaking ability with 3.6 assists per game. He played 18 games for Delaware, with the highlight being a 50-point game against the College Park Skyhawks.Through two games with the 76ers in the 2026 Summer League, Broome is averaging 21 points per game and 12 rebounds. His best performance occurred on Saturday in a 100-93 overtime win over the Pacers with 23 points and 11 rebounds. In the 76ers’ 101-93 Summer League opening win over the Detroit Pistons, Broome had 19 points and 13 rebounds.
