Former Steelers fan-favorite WR released after Giants sign Najee Harris

   ​The New York Giants have added one former Pittsburgh Steeler while parting ways with another, as Najee Harris now finds himself a member of Big Blue while another ex-Steel City playmaker finds himself on the way out.According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Giants have released former Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster in order to make room for the signing of Harris.In the corresponding move for signing RB Najee Harris, the Giants are planning to release veteran WR JuJu Smith-Schuster, per sources. pic.twitter.com/fjuuUV2a2O— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) August 18, 2026Smith-Schuster, who was drafted by the Steelers in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft, played five seasons in Pittsburgh, catching 323 passes for 3,855 yards and 26 touchdowns.
