Wilson revealed that Adebayo had known she won for an entire week and managed to keep the news to himself the whole time.Keeping that kind of secret could not have been easy, especially given the season Wilson put together. She led the WNBA in scoring at 26.2 points per game and in blocks at 1.9 per game. She also became the first player in league history to average 25 points while shooting at least 50% from the field and 40 percent from 3-point range in a single season. Her scoring average ranks as the second-best mark in WNBA history, trailing only the record she set two years ago.Wilson finished well ahead of a strong field of contenders that included Olivia Miles, Kelsey Mitchell, Caitlin Clark and Breanna Stewart. The celebration comes at a tense time for the Aces, though. Las Vegas trails the Golden State Valkyries 2-0 in the semifinals and needs a win in Game 3 on Friday to keep its season alive.Adebayo, meanwhile, is preparing for a new-look Heat team that now features Giannis Antetokounmpo alongside him in the frontcourt. Miami opens the regular season on Oct. 21 against the Minnesota Timberwolves.Still, his message made it clear that this week belonged to Wilson, and her biggest supporter was more than happy to let her enjoy the moment.Related: Klay Thompson’s first basket with Heat will give fans Ray Allen flashbacksRelated: Heat’s Erik Spoelstra reveals preseason approach with Giannis Antetokounmpo, Klay Thompson compared to previous years
