The MLB All-Star Game is tonight in Philadelphia, coming about a week after America marked its 250th birthday. With the Fourth of July fireworks long since over, batters from across the league are primed to light up Citizens Bank Park as the 2026 Home Run Derby draws near. For the first time, the All-Star Game will be hosted at The Bank, giving fans a chance to witness some majestic homers in one of baseball’s most renowned home-run arenas. The intrigue for fans extends beyond the potential distances of the balls—tickets to witness the derby live are also a major consideration.
Here’s what fans need to know about who will participate and how much it will cost to be there. The T-Mobile Home Run Derby is scheduled for Monday, July 13, at Citizens Bank Park, starting at 8 p.m. Eastern Time. The event will be streamed on Netflix.
Ticket demand is already skewing toward the outfield seats, as is typical for such events. As of 10:30 a.m. on July 13, the third-party prices ranged widely, reflecting the Derby’s popularity:
– The cheapest seats available: $849 in Section 421, Row 11
– One of the most expensive options: $1,961 in Section 142, Row 20
– A second low-cost option: $705 in Section 426, Row 3, plus Terrace Deck
– A notably steep price for the most coveted seats: $120,466 in Section 217, Row 3
– An alternative affordable choice: $740 in Section 306, Row 20
– A premium option: $10,571 in Section 427, Row 15
As for the field, seven players had officially committed by July 10, with a total of eight entrants expected to compete. Kyle Schwarber, who leads Major League Baseball with 32 home runs entering play on July 10, was confirmed by MLB as the seventh participant. He had indicated he would participate only if back issues wouldn’t prevent him from playing, given a recent stretch of missed games.
Philadelphia Phillies left fielder Kyle Schwarber, wearing number 12, connected for a home run in the first round of the 2022 Home Run Derby at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. Phillies first baseman Bryce Harper announced via Instagram on July 10 that he would take part in the Home Run Derby. This marks Harper’s return to the Derby for the first time since winning it in 2018 with the Washington Nationals. Harper has enjoyed a strong season, with 20 homers and 57 RBIs to date.
Bryce Harper’s participation adds another layer of star power to the event. The Derby field also includes Munetaka Murakami, who MLB confirmed as the final entrant. Murakami has already posted 20 home runs this season, delivering strong contributions for the surprisingly competitive Chicago White Sox. Junior Caminero, the Rays’ third baseman and a rising slugger who sits among the league leaders with 28 homers, confirmed last week that he would return for a second Derby appearance. Caminero, 22, finished as the runner-up in the previous edition and will look to translate that momentum into another memorable performance.
