The Arizona Cardinals will face the Los Angeles Rams twice in 2026. The first meeting is in Week 6 and the second is is in Week 10. Quarterbck Matthew Stafford returns and the reigning MVP will face the Cardinals again.
How has he done in his career against the Cardinals? It was a struggle early on, but he has been on a run.

Let’s have a look at his career numbers and games against the Cardinals.
Stafford has 17 career regular-season starts against the Cardinals. He has one playoff game against them. In his regular-season games, he is 10-6-1 against them. He has completed 64.6% of his passes for 4,159 yards, 29 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He has been sacked 30 times.
In his career, his 17-game average is 4,589 yards, 30 touchdowns and 14 picks with a 9-8 average record.
In his one playoff game against the Cardinals after the 2021 season en route to their championship, he had 202 passing yards and two touchdowns, and he rushed for one.

Here are his regular-season starts against the Cardinals in his career.

In 2012 with the Detroit Lions, he lost to the Cardinals 38-10, the Cardinals’ only win after their 4-0 start. Stafford went 24-for-50 passing for 246 yards and three picks

In 2013, his Lions lost 25-21 in Week 2. He played well, completing 24-of-36 passes for 278 yards and two touchdowns.

In Week 5 of the 2015 season, the Cardinals beat him and the Lions 42-17. He went 20-for-32 passing for 188 yards, a touchdown and three interceptions.

He snapped the four-game losing streak against the Cardinals in 2017 with a 35-23 Week 1 win by the Lions. He passed for 292 yards, four touchdowns and one pick.

In 2018, the Lions beat the Cardinals 17-3 in Week 14. He only had 101 passing yards without a touchdown or interception.

In 2019, opening the season, Stafford led the Lions to a 27-27 tie. He had 385 passing yards and three touchdowns.

In 2020, his last season with the Lions, he beat the Cardinals 26-23 in Week 3. Stafford passed for 270 yards and two touchdowns.

In his first season with the Rams in 2021, he lost his first matchup against the Cardinals 37-20. He passed for 280 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

In the second game, he beat the Cardinals 30-23 with 287 yards and three touchdowns.

He faced the Cardinals once in 2022, a 20-12 win. He had 249 yards without a touchdown or pick.

In 2023 Week 6, he went 15-for-24 passing for 226 yards and a touchdown in a 26-9 win.

In Week 12, he had 229 passing yards, four touchdown passes and an interception in a 37-14 win.

In Week 2 of 2024, the Cardinals blew out the Rams 41-10. He had 216 yards but no scores or picks.

Then, in Week 17, he beat the Cardinals 13-9. He passed for 189 yards without a score or pick.

Last season, in Week 14, the Rams won 45-17. Stafford went 22-for-31 for 281 yards and three touchdowns.

In Week 18, a 37-20 Rams win, Stafford passed for 259 yards and four touchdowns.

He is 10-2-1 since 2017 and has thrown only one interception in the last eight games against the Cardinals.
