​BARTONVILLE, Ill. (WMBD) — The 79th annual Peoria TT Races took place at the Peoria Motor Cycle Club.The main race, the Mission AFT SuperTwins was a two-way race between Brian Bauman, who is looking for his third consecutive title win in Peoria.The race was neck and neck the whole time between those two. Bauman was in the lead for the first half of the race, but Daniels would take the lead, and he wouldn’t look back from there. Daniels would go on win his first title in Peoria, on a track that holds a special place in his heart.”Yeah man, it feels great. You know, Peoria is such a special place to me, I grew up in Illinois about two hours south of here. Just a track I’ve been coming to, watching races for a long time. I’ve finished second here, third, fourth, fifth, never got that win, so it was a dogfight out there,” said Daniels. “It was everything but easy. Probably one of the hardest races ever. The track got really slippery at the end when the sun went down and it was getting rough, so trying to miss the holes and hit your marks. It was tough, it was a physical track, the jump was tough, but you just had to hit your marks and be smooth.”It was announced that next year the Peoria TT Races will be under the lights for the first time.Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
