It’s been a busy start to the 2026 NBA free agency period, but the biggest domino of them all has finally fallen. LeBron James has reportedly agreed to join the Philadelphia 76ers on a two-year, $8 million deal.James informed the Lakers of his intent to play with a new team in the 2026-27 NBA season at the start of free agency, with no shortage of potential suitors, including the Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat and Minnesota Timberwolves, among others.In a message on X, the 41-year-old James said he felt he was finished at the end of the season and that he needed time to figure out his future.“I thought I was done when the season ended. I wasn’t ready to announce it, and I knew I needed some time to really decide, but I was pretty sure I played my last game. I was honest at that last press conference when I said I needed to look at myself and deicide if I still love this game.
