This weekend’s game is being played in the newly renovated Santiago Bernabeu, home of Real Madrid, yet the facilities have left a lot to be desired.Unlike at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Cincinnati Bengals are being made to use the soccer locker room, which is obviously not built to house a 53-man roster of NFL players. The footage from inside the locker room has not gone down well.NFL fans shocked by Santiago Bernabeu locker room provided for Cincinnati BengalsConsidering the Bengals have already had to consider the different time zones, travel and all the other factors involved in an international game, finding out the facilities are not up to scratch is the last thing that Joe Burrow would have hoped for.‘I notice there are simply not enough lockers for an NFL team,’ replied one fan on X.‘High school locker rooms are better than this,’ another added.Back in London, the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was designed with two purpose-built NFL locker rooms as the soccer team knew they were building a multi-sport stadium. However, it seems this was not considered when Real Madrid recently renovated the Bernabeu.‘This is a downgrade from most NFL stadium locker rooms,’ one concerned fan said.‘Thought Soccer made money?’ replied another fan.As soccer locker rooms go, this is certainly fit for purpose, but the smaller squad size to NFL teams means that it is going to be an extremely tight squeeze on Sunday when the Bengals are required to use it.‘I’m just going to say it: what’s incredible about that locker room. It looks like a high school football team’s locker room,’ added another.‘Wait there are NFL locker rooms 10x better. Not that impressed,’ replied one fan.Read more:Shedeur Sanders’ response to Browns questions sparks doubts over his NFL starting credentialsAl Michaels does himself no favours with four-minute-long ’bedtime story’ on TNF‘Been cheating’- Chiefs fans face fiery response over Patrick Mahomes and controversial call
