Head coach Kevin O’Connell’s offense managed just 266 total yards in another anemic performance from Kyler Murray and the pass game.Out of all the players being negatively affected by the ineptitude, nobody is feeling the struggles more than superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson, even though none of it is really his fault.Again Sunday, JJ got a team-high nine targets, but came away with very little to show for them other than an absolutely insane one-handed touchdown catch that I’m not sure any other receiver in the league makes. How did Justin Jefferson catch that?

When the dust settled, Jefferson finished with five catches for 33 yards, his longest went for 9 yards, and he averaged 3.7 yards per target, his lowest mark in any game this season.Vikings WR1 visibly frustrated during loss to LionsMinnesota’s last chance came trailing by four after Detroit’s go-ahead fourth-quarter touchdown. The Vikings went three-and-out and never went to Justin Jefferson once. The Vikings never got the ball back after the punt. And that’s when cameras caught a clearly frustrated superstar wideout on the Vikings sideline, feeling helpless with his team down 19-15 and 2:53 left. It wasn’t the only time he looked dejected either.Justin Jefferson Is Clearly Pissed On The Sideline.— SM Highlights (@SMHighlights1) November 1, 2026Kyler Murray Has Justin Jefferson Open In The End Zone And Overshoots Him By Quite A Bit.
Jefferson Tries To Climb The Ladder Anyway, But Gets Decked To The Ground For His Trouble.
He Gets Up Looking Pissed At Kyler, Man. All He Wants Is A Quarterback Who Can Be At Least Kind Of Accurate.
Is That Too Much To Ask? 😩— SM Highlights (@SMHighlights1) November 1, 2026JJ’s mood during Sunday’s loss was understandable. It continues a quiet season where, through six games, Jefferson has 28 catches for 335 yards and four touchdowns on 40 targets. His best game came in the opener against Green Bay, when he caught eight passes for 92 yards and two touchdowns. He hasn’t topped 79 yards in a game since. The rest of the offense didn’t offer much help, which has been the case all season. Murray went 17-of-29 for 210 yards with two touchdowns and an interception and was sacked three times. Minnesota converted just three of its 10 third-down attempts and held the ball for 24:17, compared to 35:43 for Detroit.Justin Jefferson declines to speak with mediaSunday’s nine targets were the most he’s seen in a game since the opener, but most of the looks were not very good and Kevin O’Connell confirmed in his postgame that they missed J
