​Boonsboro High School student Macie Schultz earned the title of Junior Miss Majorette of America after competing against 56 other twirlers at the National Baton Twirling Association America’s Youth on Parade Nationals at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.Schultz, a junior at Boonsboro High School, claimed the national title through a three-part pageant that included solo, strut and modeling/interview competitions, according to a community announcement.Schultz also received the Miss Bonnie Baxter Scholarship, which recognizes talent, grace and dedication in baton twirling and is intended to inspire future generations of athletes in the spirit of the late coach and mentor Bonnie Baxter, according to the announcement.In addition to her national honors, Schultz qualified for Team USA and will compete in two-baton and three-baton events at the World Federation of National Baton Twirling Associations World Championships scheduled for March 24-28 in Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy.She is a member of the M Twirling Team in State College, Pennsylvania.
