​The road to an Ohio high school football state championship begins Friday, Oct. 30, as teams across the Tuscarawas County area kick off the first round of the Ohio High School Athletic Association playoffs.Seven area teams earned postseason berths, with six preparing to begin their playoff journeys Friday night and one enjoying a week off.Indian Valley (9-0) enters the postseason as the No. 1 seed in Division IV, Region 15, earning a first-round bye after completing an unbeaten regular season. The Crimson Tornadoes will host Columbus South, while Claymont (9-1) looks to bounce back from its first loss of the season when it welcomes Beaver Local.In Division VI, Newcomerstown will host Centerburg, while Garaway takes on Marion Elgin.
