PFF recognizes Jaguars’ top receiving duo in latest rankings

The Jacksonville Jaguars have one of the strongest receiver groups in the NFL, with four wide receivers — Brian Thomas, Jr., Jakobi Meyers, Parker Washington, and Travis Hunter — all heading into 2026 with a lot of hype.Washington and Meyers had very good seasons in 2025, and while Thomas’ performance took a dip, his offseason progress indicates that he is bound for a comeback year in 2026. Hunter appeared to be on the cusp of breaking out prior to his injury.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementAccordingly, two of Jacksonville’s receivers have been listed among the league’s best. Writing for Pro Football Focus (PFF), Dalton Wasserman and Max Chadwick named the top 32 wide receivers heading into the upcoming season, and both Meyers and Thomas made the list.Coming in at No. 28, Meyers was praised for being reliable, an especially impressive feat given that he joined the Jaguars more than halfway through the season:Meyers has long been a consistent performer, recording five straight 800-yard seasons, including a 1,027-yard campaign in 2024. His impact was immediately felt in Jacksonville, as he earned a 78.2 PFF receiving grade from Week 10 through Week 18. Since 2019, Meyers has caught 60.7% of his contested targets. Among wide receivers with at least 200 targets during that span, only New Orleans’ Michael Thomas has a higher rate.Thomas ranked just behind Meyers at No. 29, despite having struggled last year:After a terrific rookie season in 2024, Thomas struggled with confidence and drops in 2025, finishing with 707 receiving yards. His 14.3% drop rate ranked sixth highest among qualified wide receivers during the regular season. He also caught just 10 of his 29 contested targets. If Thomas can rediscover the form that helped him finish fourth in Offensive Rookie of the Year voting two years ago, he could elevate Jacksonville’s offense to an elite level. The rankings are just another indication of what fans can expect in 2026. Trevor Lawrence is now set to have what is arguably his best supporting cast ever, especially given that Thomas has been performing well in offseason training.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementMeyers additionally will have had a full offseason to become familiar with Liam Coen’s scheme, which can only improve his performance; while not mentioned by PFF, Washington had a breakout year in 2025, and there’s no reason he won’t continue to excel in 2026. Hunter is expected to play less on offense this upcoming season, but he will remain a threat in the snaps he does take.Altogether, it’s safe to say that the Jaguars have transformed what was once a top-heavy receiver room into one with significantly more depth and talent. This article originally appeared on Jaguars Wire: PFF recognizes Jaguars’ top receiving duo in latest rankings
