With a 5-2 record, LSU football remains in the hunt for the College Football Playoff; however, the margin of error is slim. LSU has renewed hope after a chaotic Week 7 made it clear that the race is wide open. Few teams, if any, look dominant. Spots are up for the taking.November will separate the contenders from the pretenders. LSU has one more October game before the Tigers turn their attention to a brutal November slate. Every game is a must-win for LSU now. While possible, it’s hard to see LSU making the playoffs at 9-3. But at 10-2, LSU is safely in the field. Is winning out a realistic goal for the Tigers? LSU may be favored in every remaining game on the schedule; however, the spreads will be slim. Winning out would mean LSU finishes the regular season on a six-game win streak, which is hard to do in this era of college football. Here’s a prediction for every remaining game on LSU football’s 2026 schedule. At Auburn, Oct. 24Prediction: LSU 31, Auburn 17LSU hits the road again this Saturday, traveling to Auburn to renew its rivalry with the Tigers. LSU’s road struggles have been discussed at length. Lane Kiffin, as a head coach, and LSU, as a program, have both struggled when playing away from home in recent years. If LSU is going to move to 6-2 in Week 8, LSU must find a way to get the job done away from Tiger Stadium.I think LSU figures it out. Quarterback Sam Leavitt will make enough plays and the LSU offense will show up. I have LSU beating Auburn 31-17.Vs. Alabama, Nov. 7LSU 24, Alabama 16This is a big one. I like LSU to beat Texas, with home-field advantage behind the Tigers. At Tennessee, Nov. 21LSU 21, Tennessee 10Tennessee’s defense is one of the best in the country, and the Tigers and Vols are expected to produce a defensive battle in Knoxville, but when an offense needs to make a few big plays to win, I trust LSU’s unit far more. Yes, I know there are concerns about playing good defenses on the road, but LSU has a chance to overcome those jitters at Auburn this weekend and make it a non-issue later in the year. Vs. Arkansas, Nov. 28LSU 41, Arkansas 13LSU finishes off the regular season by hosting Arkansas at home. I like the Tigers to win big vs. an SEC bottom dweller. This Arkansas team just isn’t good. There’s no other way to put it. LSU has the
