The slow trickle of transfer chatter surrounding PSG’s 18-year-old starlet Ibrahim Mbaye is starting to accelerate. Today, TeamTalk adds that Aston Villa are at the front of a queue of Premier League clubs keen to sign Mbaye after a breakthrough season in Paris. Naturally, PSG would prefer to keep him, but the sheer depth of their attack means Mbaye isn’t guaranteed regular first-team starts in the biggest matches, which could become a deal-breaker for him.
There is still plenty Mbaye can offer. He might not be in the starting XI, but he can accumulate starts, score and assist frequently, win trophies, and continue to develop under a world-class coach with excellent teammates. Ultimately, it will come down to the teenager’s desires and whether he wants to leave in search of regular playing time elsewhere.
Gabriel Moscardo has secured a new club for the upcoming season, and PSG will be hoping he performs well enough to attract more attention next summer for a potential permanent deal. Randal Kolo Muani’s transfer to Juventus looked straightforward, but the deal has stalled so significantly that there is growing belief it could collapse entirely.
