Los Angeles Rams left tackle Alaric Jackson will not face criminal charges after his arrest last month on accusations of getting physical with his pregnant ex-girlfriend, according to The California Post. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, Ivor Pine, told The California Post that prosecutors are not filing charges against Jackson “at this time,” but emphasized that the case remains open and could be revisited should new information or developments arise in the future.
The City Attorney’s Office is reportedly prepared to offer Jackson alternatives that could avoid criminal charges. NBC Los Angeles reported that these options may include community service, attendance at a class, or restitution payments. If accepted, such measures would be pursued in lieu of formal charges.
Jackson was arrested on June 8 on a domestic violence-related charge connected to an alleged physical confrontation with his pregnant ex-girlfriend, an incident that reportedly left her with bruises and scratches. While a temporary restraining order restraining Jackson from the accuser was granted, she later chose to withdraw her request for a permanent order.
Beyond the criminal case, the NFL is expected to review the matter under the league’s personal conduct policy to determine whether Jackson’s actions constituted a violation that would warrant discipline. Jackson has previously faced a suspension under the policy, serving two games in 2024 for a prior violation.
This scenario continues to unfold as the NFL assesses whether Jackson’s conduct meets the threshold for league discipline. The case’s current status indicates no criminal charges at this time, but the legal process has not fully concluded, and the possibility of future developments or actions remains in play.
