Real Madrid 4-0 Málaga: Bellingham shines as ruthless Madrid continue perfect startReal Madrid continued their perfect start to Jose Mourinho’s second spell at the Bernabéu after a comfortable 4-0 win over Málaga, returning to the top of La Liga.After a slow start Real Madrid burst into life after Jude Bellingham scored a brilliant solo goal, before he was involved again as they quickly added a second as he headed home a rebound after Kylian Mbappé’s shot was saved.Mbappé added a third a few minutes later as he directed a volley into the bottom corner after a nice pickout from Trent Alexander-Arnold.Los Blancos saw the game out with ease as they continued their perfect start to the new season with José Mourinho at the helm.As it happenedReal Madrid started brightly but took a while to create any clear sightings of goal. That was until Jude Bellingham decided to take things into his own hands, carrying the ball into the box past multiple Málaga defenders, before sliding the ball underneath the goalkeeper from a tight angle.And it wasn’t long before they found their second. Brahim Díaz found Kylian Mbappé in the box before the Frenchman’s quick turn and shot was well saved, but the rebound was straight into the path of the onrushing Bellingham in the right place at the right time. But Carlos Puga, in trying to clear the goalbound header, inadvertently slid the ball onto Alfonso Herrero, before it rolled into the net, doubling the home side’s lead.A minute later Mbappé got in on the act as Madrid showed their ruthless edge to score a third before the half-hour mark. Trent Alexander-Arnold picked out the number nine in the box, before Mbappé produced a brilliant volley which nestled in the bottom right corner.Málaga had a few opportunities to get a goal of their own, but were unable to test Thibaut Courtois as they searched for a route back into the game.Searching for his first La Liga hat-trick, Bellingham fired a ferocious effort which rattled the woodwork after more good work from the Englishman.Málaga had an opportunity of their own after they played through the Real Madrid press before playing it to substitute Juan Cruz on the left flank. He carried the ball inside before firing a powerful strike, which had Courtois worried, but rose over the bar.The visitors thought they had a penalty to at least try to get a consolation goal in the game, after going to the VAR monitor, the referee changed his decision.Madrid made it four in injury time and substitute Arda Güler got his first of the season. Vinícius Júnior did brilliantly down the left before unselfishly squaring the ball to the Turkish midfielder who tapped home into the empty net.Los Blancos saw the game out with relative ease as they continued their perfect start to the new season with José Mourinho at the helm.
