Record projections for Tennessee’s 2026 football opponents

   ​The 2026 football season is on the horizon for teams in the Southeastern Conference. The unofficial kick-off weekend is set for July 20-23, featuring SEC media days hosted at the JW Marriott in Tampa and the Tampa Marriott Water Street, both in Tampa, Florida. The SEC schedule gets underway officially on September 3 in Week 1.
Tennessee will begin its 2026 campaign on September 5, hosting Furman at Neyland Stadium. The opener is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time and will be carried on SEC Network+. In addition to Furman, the Volunteers will welcome Kennesaw State, Texas, Auburn, Alabama, Kentucky and LSU to Knoxville, while hitting the road to face Georgia Tech, Arkansas, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt during the 2026 season.
