Roma have agreement with Tresoldi, continue talks with Brugge

Roma has identified Nicolò Tresoldi as the ideal candidate to step into Malen’s role as assistant. The Club Brugge forward has been clear about his intentions and has already made his decision: he wants to don the Giallorossi jersey. The 2004-born talent has given the green light to a move to Rome, convinced that he can grow and thrive under Gian Piero Gasperini.
Tresoldi closed the season with impressive statistics: 23 goals and 9 assists in 3,315 minutes on the pitch. He also made a notable impact in the Champions League, scoring three goals in ten appearances against high-profile opponents Monaco, Barcelona, and Atlético Madrid. Gasperini views Tresoldi as the perfect addition to strengthen Roma’s attack.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma and the player have already reached a basic agreement, and the next step will be to finalize terms between the two clubs. Negotiations could commence with an offer in the region of around €25 million, a figure that could persuade Club Brugge to enter talks. However, Roma must first navigate the obstacle presented by Artem Dovbyk.
Dovbyk is not part of Gasperini’s plans and is reportedly sought after by Genoa. De Rossi is pushing for the former Girona striker, who would be eager to reunite with DDR, the coach who previously brought him to the capital. The pursuit of Dovbyk adds another layer to Roma’s transfer strategy as they pursue Tresoldi, aiming to bolster the squad’s attacking options for the upcoming season while addressing the strategic gaps identified by the management.
