Ronald Acuña Jr., Ha-Seong Kim begin rehab today in Florida

Happy All-Star Break to everyone who celebrates. May we all emerge refreshed and ready for what lies ahead in the second half, which begins Friday at home against the Rangers.
This week is about rest and recovery, but there’s also a quiet third R: rehab. The Braves have announced that Ronald Acuña Jr. and Ha-Seong Kim will both begin rehab assignments with the FCL Braves, with games in North Port, Florida, at noon today.
Acuña Jr. landed on the 10-day injured list with his second Grade 1 hamstring strain of the season on June 10. This injury was believed to be milder than the one that sidelined him from May 3 to May 18, but the Braves have rightly chosen caution to avoid rushing him back. Kim was placed on the 10-day IL on July 4 due to right middle finger inflammation. Kim’s season has been up and down, and here’s hoping that this IL stint offers some relief and helps him move toward returning to the Major League roster.
More reinforcements are on the way. We’ll share updates on the statuses of Robert Suárez, Sean Murphy, Mike Yastrzemski, and other players as information becomes available. This development news should help Braves fans stay informed and optimistic about the team’s path forward in the second half of the season.
