The Seattle Seahawks were forced to make an unfortunate transaction on Tuesday morning. Seattle placed their starting fullback Robbie Ouzts on the Injured Reserve (IR). Ouzts has been dealing with a largely undisclosed neck injury, which kept him sidelined during both the NFC Championship Game and Super Bowl LX vs the New England Patriots. It feels like the writing was on the wall for Ouzts to have a stint on the IR given some of Seattle’s other recent transactions. Last week, the Seahawks signed former Patriots fullback Brock Lampe to the roster. At the time of the signing, we at Seahawks Wire hypothesized this could be a depth signing if Ouzts were to miss significant time with his injury. Sadly, this appears to have been proven correct. In other roster related news, the Seahawks signed linebacker Aaron Smith to the roster to fill Robbie Outzts’ spot for the time being.
