He transferred in from North Atlanta and has also played soccer. At the end of June, he announced his first Division I football scholarship offer from Deion Sanders and Colorado.Following the defeat to Buford, Gainesville now checks in as the No. 12 team in Georgia, according to the Rivals Composite Rankings. The Red Elephants will now prepare for another big early-season test as they head up to Illinois to take on East St. Louis, the No. 1 team in the state, on Sept. 5.Gainesville’s home-opener will come the following week against McEachern, another top-15 team in Georgia, on Sept. 11.
