(Stephen Lew-Imagn Images)NFL Sunday Ticket subscribers didn’t need much from Sunday’s late window, just the opening kickoff of the San Francisco 49ers’ 32-29 win over the Seattle Seahawks, and many of them never got it.Steve Palazzolo, co-host of Check the Mic with The 33rd Team, called it a big problem in a post on X on Monday aimed at YouTube TV, the package’s exclusive home.Overtime in the New York Giants and Washington Commanders’ 27-27 tie kept local Fox stations on that 1 p.m. ET game as bonus coverage. Sunday Ticket doesn’t carry games airing on a subscriber’s local CBS or Fox station, and 49ers-Seahawks was due on those stations once the tie ended.Steve Palazzolo’s YouTube TV Post Turns Focus to NFL Blackout Rules“This is a big problem,” Palazzolo wrote. Pro Football Talk founder Mike Florio and Chris Simms had discussed the missing minutes on PFT Live hours earlier.Florio laid out the case in his Pro Football Talk column. Outside the Seattle and San Francisco markets, subscribers whose local Fox station had 49ers-Seahawks as its late game couldn’t watch it on Sunday Ticket until that station joined with 4 minutes, 47 seconds left in the first quarter, he wrote.By then, Mike Evans had caught a 2-yard touchdown pass from Brock Purdy, and Emanuel Wilson had answered with a 2-yard scoring run for Seattle. Florio wrote that YouTube and the NFL have yet to fix the problem.PICK THE PLAYOFF FIELD:PFN’s Free NFL Playoff PredictorFlorio said Monday on PFT Live that the technology to solve it already exists. “We’ve got super intelligence. There has to be a way to lift the blackout.”Adam Matthew, replying to Palazzolo, asked what YouTube is supposed to do. “They don’t control the networks choosing to carry the bonus coverage of the East Coast game on the East Coast. They don’t control the NFL blackout policy.”Another account said the rule was nothing new. “It’s been an issue that predates YouTube. It’s been an issue with Sunday Ticket forever.”Florio wrote that the blackout has hit more than once this season and lands unevenly. He wrote that the same thing kept fans outside Detroit and Phoenix from the start of the Detroit Lions’ 45-21 win over the Arizona Cardinals, while Sunday Ticket subscribers in those two markets saw all of 49ers-Seahawks.Zach Frain wrote that he has taken the problem to everyone involved. “I’ve been complaining about it and writing letters to YouTube TV, the NFL, and individual stations since YouTube TV took it over. All I get is canned responses.”Mike Florio’s $400 Argument Tests Sunday Ticket’s Value for Out-of-Market ViewersFlorio’s complaint came down to price. He said on PFT Live that he pays $400 and asked why he couldn’t watch the first 10 minutes of 49ers-Seahawks.Tully Olson questioned whether the package is wo
