The district-champion Knights and Wildcats give it a go to wrap up the Florida high school football regular season Friday, Oct. 30.The stats bear out an expected tight matchup. Final score comparisons are pretty equal, and Forest’s win vs. Oakleaf in Week 9 legitimized its close loss to Buchholz a couple of weeks prior. Vanguard has steamrolled seven foes and had two narrow losses, in OT to Buchholz and a last-minute field goal at Jesuit. There is more intracounty football tonight as well: South Marion is at Belleview, with Trinity Catholic at Lake Weir. The Bears had their second loss by less than a touchdown last week, while Lake Weir hopes to bounce back after its first loss of 2026 last week to Vanguard.Also on the docket is a sneaky good game up the road a bit. Undefeated Dunnellon travels to small-school powerhouse Hawthorne, which is also unbeaten so far.
