Michael Wilson and the Arizona Cardinals pulled off one of the most stunning wins of Week 8 of the 2026 NFL season. Against the Dallas Cowboys on the road on Sunday, the visiting Cards erased a six-point deficit and overcame a brutal missed extra point late in the fourth quarter to come away with an improbable 33-30 overtime win at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. However, Wilson gave his own team a scare following a big play in the clutch, where he scored the game-tying touchdown that eventually forced overtime. After catching a pass from quarterback Gardner Minshew in the end zone with six seconds remaining on the game clock, Wilson was unable to get up right away, as he was in visible pain. Wilson Hurt in Late Touchdown For Cardinals in Week 8 Game Against The CowboysJan 4, 2026; Inglewood, California, USA; Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Wilson (14) makes a touchdown catch against the Los Angeles Rams during the second half at SoFi Stadium. After Ryland missed what could have been the game-winning extra-point kick, the Cardinals took care of business in overtime, with Ryland redeeming himself by making a field goal from 42 yards away to hand the Cards their third win of the season.Wilson finished the game with 111 receiving yards to lead all players in the contest, while reeling in eight of 15 targets. Tight end Trey McBride and running back and Tyler Allgeier also had a touchdown reception each from Minshew, who replaced the struggling Jacoby Brissett mid-game.  The backup quarterback Minshew went 17/23 for 188 passing yards and three touchdowns against zero interceptions to will Arizona to an improbable victory.Wilson’s status for Week 9’s game between the Cards and the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field could be up in the air at the moment, but he said following the Cowboys win that he intends to play even if he’s just at “60%,” via Theo Mackie of AZ Central.Wilson signed a three-year, $75 million contract extension with Arizona in September.Aug 10, 2024; Glendale, Arizona, USA; Detailed view of an Arizona Cardinals helmet during a preseason NFL game at State Farm Stadium.
