‘We would like to let go of those players’ — Max Eberl makes Bayern Munich’s intentions clear on João Palhinha, Sacha Boey, Bryan Zaragoza

(Photo by Alexander Hassenstein/Getty Images) | Getty Images Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl made the club’s intentions incredibly clear — João Palhinha, Sacha Boey, and Bryan Zaragoza are all for sale and will face a tough time finding playing time in Bavaria. “We would like to let go of those players because, if they stay, they will find it very difficult to get playing time here. Nevertheless, they have every right to train with Bayern Munich and to prove themselves, but as far as our squad planning is concerned, we have other ideas,” Eberl said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “At some point in August, clubs will assess their squads. Some may have qualified for European competitions, while others may have suffered injuries, so we’ll have to wait and see. But there’s already movement in the market.”At this point, Bayern Munich is likely not worried about maintaining leverage. Getting all three players off the salary budget would be a huge accomplishment for Eberl during this transfer window. However, each player is likely making more money than other clubs may want to pay them. While not impossible, the moves could prove difficult for Eberl to get done this month, unless other clubs have injury situations to deal with.
