Monty Taylor, a college baseball reporter and host of ACC Central, includes UNC in his Way-Too-Early Omaha Eight.Taylor also projects LSU, Arizona State, Mississippi State, Texas, Oklahoma and Virginia to join North Carolina in the 2027 College World Series, while leaving out an eighth opponent.The Sooners and Longhorns are the only squads, in these projections, who made the 2026 CWS field.
