This time around, number one overall draft pick AJ Dybantsa will be flanked by veteran All-Stars Trae Young and Anthony Davis, each of whom was acquired by Washington at last year’s deadline.Recently, Young competed in some summer runs with various other NBA players, past and present, in Los Angeles, and among them was former NBA journeyman point guard Patrick Beverley. Luv luv❤️ Iron sharpens Iron pic.twitter.com/RdFXA83lJMWatch sports LIVE with fuboTV (free trial)— Patrick Beverley (@patbev21) August 9, 2026Young and Beverley have been embroiled in a bizarre feud over the last year, stemming from Beverley’s frequent jabs at the point guard on his podcast about Young’s perceived lack of winning.Young and Beverley then went back and forth on social media, with Beverley frequently relishing in the Atlanta Hawks’ lackluster start to last season before Young was ultimately dealt to the Wizards in exchange for CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert.Young played sparingly with the Wizards last season, mostly sitting out due to injury, while Davis didn’t play at all for Washington last year after being traded there from the Dallas Mavericks.
