The Danish central midfielder has had to battle through injuries and personal tragedy in recent years, but on his day he can be a key driving force in midfield. Standard Liege will need that, as well as some goals from Nielsen if they want to achieve their goals this season. Young player to watch: Bernard NgueneThere was a lot of excitement when Standard Liege announced the signing of Nguene from Nice in the winter. The 20-year-old from Cameroon showed a handful of moments during his 14 appearances last season, scoring one goal. Fans of Standard Liege will be hoping that, after a full summer with the side to settle in properly, Nguene will be ready to hit the ground running this season, although the side have brought in a number of attack minded players for him to compete with.
