​Chargers linebacker Daiyan Henley has one game circled on the 2026 schedule, and it’s not a game many would expect. Although the division games against the Chiefs, Broncos and Raiders will be crucial, Henley said the game he is most looking forward to is against the Los Angeles Rams. In a recent interview with Kay Adams, Henley said he already has the Rams game in Week 8 circled on his calendar.”Yeah, of course,” Henley said when asked if he knows what week the Chargers play the Rams. “November like 10th or 2nd or something like that. It’s penciled.”Adams also asked Henley if he finds it bothersome that many are favoring the Rams this upcoming season. “I don’t find it to be irritating,” Henley said when asked about whether the Rams Super Bowl chatter bothers him. “At the end of the day, you have to show people what it really is, and we get that opportunity this year to play in SoFi versus those guys over there. “It doesn’t matter what they say, it matters what happens right there and then.” The Week 8 contest against the Rams will be the first time Henley will face the Rams. While he has faced them in joint practices and the preseason, this will be his first time playing against them in a game that counts.Henley is one of the few players in the league that plays for the hometown team. Henley was born and raised in Los Angeles and attened Crenshaw High School. He was a standout in high school before he too his talents to Nevada. Henley finished his college career in Washington State before the Chargers drafted him in 2023. The 26-year-old is coming off another 100+ tackle season. Henley also recorded five tackles for loss, six quarterback hits, a career-high 3.5 sacks and two interceptions in 16 games.
