Photo by Ric Tapia/Getty ImagesThe LA Rams received positive news ahead of their game against the Philadelphia Eagles, as their star wide receiver Puka Nacua is set to make a return to the lineup after a two-game absence. After the first game against the San Francisco 49ers, the All-Pro WR felt something in his hip, which resulted in his absence from games against the New York Giants and the Denver Broncos. However, after Thursday’s practice, head coach Sean McVay confirmed that the player would not have an injury designation, but the team is deciding on the snap counts for him.“Physically he’s getting in and out of his breaks, looks strong, looks sturdy, looks explosive,” McVay said during his press conference. “I think it’ll really just be a feel for the overall conditioning. Hoping the magic of the jersey on Sundays, he’s feeling real good there.”While his presence will be a major boost for the Rams’ offence, a sports doctor has offered an alarming update on the risk that his return carries.Doctor says it is risky for Nacua to play on SundayEven with a limited snap count, an NFL game could be dangerous for a player still recovering from an injury. While Nacua did look sharp during practice, a real game situation is completely different and any wrong movement could reaggravate his injury.“Puka Nacua will be limited in Week 4 as well as at moderately increased risk for reinjury with his groin and hip injuries. He’ll be on the field, but likely far from 100%,” tweeted Doctor Jesse Morse. He made this tweet in response to McVay’s comments on Nacua’s status for the game against the Eagles. The 25-year-old is a key weapon for the Rams’ offence, and risking his health so early in the season just does not seem right. They have other pieces like Matthew Stafford and Davante Adams, who can win a game on their own. With Aaron Donald and Myles Garrett already out, their defence is already depleted; they cannot afford to do the same with the offence, which is why it is key for the organisation to make a decision keeping the entire season in mind.Read more:‘He’s regretting’ – LA Rams are stunned over latest Aaron Donald, Puka Nacua injury updatesStephen A.
