While their focus remains on building a championship-caliber team, ESPN listed who on the team has the best chance to make it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.ESPN’s senior writer Bill Barnell looked at potential future Hall of Famers from all 32 NFL teams and listed defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons as Tennessee’s top candidate in the “keep it up” category. He also listed left guard Peter Skoronski in the “work to do” category.While Simmons still has plenty of work to do before the Hall of Fame becomes a realistic conversation, his combination of production, consistency, and reputation around the league gives him a foundation that few Titans players currently possess.Simmons has established himself as a defensive forceSince entering the NFL, Simmons has developed into one of the Titans’ most important players. He has consistently been one of Tennessee’s biggest disruptors from the interior of the defensive line, capable of impacting games as both a pass-rusher and run defender.After recently signing the biggest contract for his position in NFL history, Simmons has also become the centerpiece of what new head coach Robert Saleh hopes will be a dramatically improved Titans defense in 2026. With more talent surrounding him along the defensive line, Simmons will look to continue adding to his already impressive accolades.With four Pro Bowl selections, two second-team All-Pro selections, and one first-team All-Pro selection, Simmons’ “keep it up” tag is on par as he enters his eighth season in the NFL at age 29. Furthermore, if the Titans’ defense takes the leap many expect, Simmons could be one of the biggest beneficiaries.Peter Skoronski is the other Titan to watchSpeaking of the highest-paid player in his position, Peter Skoronski joined Jeffery Simmons as he became the highest-paid guard in the league last week. He was also mentioned as another potential Hall of Fame candidate, although ESPN placed him in the “work to do” category.Skoronski has shown plenty of promise since the Titans selected him in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, but he has not yet accumulated the accolades or sustained dominance necessary to seriously enter the Hall of Fame conversation.However, time is on his side as he enters his fourth NFL season. Barnell made mention that most close observers of offensive line play argued that Skoronski deserved to make the Pro Bowl last season. That means if Skoronski continues developing into one of the league’s better interior offensive linemen, his case could look very different several years from now.Former Titans mentionedFormer Titans stars Derrick Henry (Baltimore Ravens) and A.J. Brown (New England Patriots) were also included in ESPN’s discussion of potential future Pro Football Hall of Famers. Henry obviously has the stronger resume of the two, as he was listed in the “in” category.Henry established himself as one of the most dominant run
