​NORTH AUGUSTA, SC (WJBF)- The North Augusta boys basketball team finally received their rings in the cafeteria, four months after winning their first state championship in program history back in March.The Jackets went 27-3 on the season, making it their 4th straight year with 20 plus wins. They pulled out the double overtime victory against south pointe at Colonial Life Arena.Head coach Tony Herrell played their highlight tape from the season and then called up the players one by one to retrieve their rings. The coaching staff let the players design their rings, they had them open up the cases to see it in real time. The players are grateful to have a new piece of hardware to signify their historic season.“I’m the first one to ever have it in school history. I don’t even know how to feel right now. it’s something I’ve dreamed about, I’ve prayed over it, and now it’s here. I want to thank God and my community,” said graduated senior Jordan Rouse.“I’ve been in varsity and in the program since my freshman year and the eighth grade. It’s been something we’ve been working towards every year; to finally have it here in my hands it means a lot,” said graduated senior Toian Nabriat.
