ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KSNT) – The Kansas City Chiefs added reigning Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III to their running back room over the offseason. The explosive running back is now getting his first taste of Chiefs Training Camp.“Today was more of a chill day, you know, acclimation period and getting used to everything,” Walker III said. “I already heard about how hard it would be and how hot it would be out here. I feel like that’s going to get us ready for the season and the games.”“I thought [Walker] looked good. Today, he’s working through everything, smart kid, great diligence, wants to know everything and he’s talented. That’s kind of a good combination,” Reid said. “So, it’s just a matter of him feeling comfortable with everything. The veteran running back is coming off a Super Bowl LX title and is looking to add to that championship mentality already implemented into this Chiefs squad.“They want to win, you know, and they’ve won many Super Bowls before. Definitely you see the work ethic that’s going on around here,” Walker III said. “Everybody wants to compete and win we’ll go out there and see how we play this season.”The last day of training camp is Aug. 20.For more sports news, click here.
