Shortly after the AFC South franchise secured a much-needed 26-3 road win over the Tennessee Titans to improve to 1-4, it traded two 2027 draft picks (second and seventh round) to the Arizona Cardinals for Marvin Harrison Jr. to strengthen its receiving corps. On Wednesday afternoon, head coach DeMeco Ryans announced that the former Ohio State star will make his highly anticipated Texans debut on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.“Texans HC DeMeco Ryans said newly-acquired WR Marvin Harrison Jr. will make his Houston debut Sunday in London vs. the Jaguars,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on X/Twitter.While Harrison wasn’t horrendous with the Cardinals to start his NFL career, it’s hard to argue he lived up to the billing as the No. 4 overall pick in the 2024 draft. From struggling to create noticeable separation off the line to failing to convert routine catches when left unattended, Harrison’s weaknesses were on full display in Arizona. The 24-year-old caught 108 passes for 1,578 yards and 13 touchdowns in 33 games, far from the production the Cardinals hoped for at this stage. The good news for Harrison is he’ll get a chance to reunite with his trustworthy ex-college quarterback, CJ. Stroud and potentially revive his career following a beneficial change of scenery. A strong performance against a stout Jaguars defense could signal what’s to come for Harrison in a Texans uniform.More NFL: Cowboys predicted to trade Pro Bowl defender to Raiders for Maxx Crosby in blockbuster dealBears named landing spot for $123 million 115-sack Steelers star LBEagles named top landing spot for former Cowboys $21 million starter
